It is a specialty fried rice in New York and became popular across the city in 2015. As an innovative fusion food, it combines traditional Chinese fried rice with classic American breakfast ingredients including sausages, eggs and cheese. It is mainly stir-fried with leftover rice, sausages (or Chinese preserved sausages) , egg liquid and cheddar cheese, seasoned with soy sauce, minced garlic, diced onions, black or white pepper, and finally decorated with chopped scallions.
