飞奴这道菜创自2000多年前的中国秦朝,是秦始皇统一天下后,出现在庆典宴席上的一道菜。飞奴出自中国古籍《史记》,中国古代有飞鸽传书(用鸽子传递资讯),古时把飞鸽称为飞奴。“飞奴”这道菜就是吃乳鸽。秦二十三年,魏国派人到秦国来请降,请降的人到了秦国后,却用飞奴来传递军情返回魏国,秦始皇知道后,把当时咸阳城所有的鸽子都宰杀吃了,就有了飞奴这道菜。秦国统一天下后,在宴席上就出现了飞奴这道菜。

In the twenty-third year of the Qin Dynasty, the state of Wei sent a man to the state of Qin to ask for surrender. When the person who asked for surrender arrived in the state of Qin, he used Feinu to transfer military information back to Wei. After Qin Shi Huang knew about it, he killed all the pigeons in Xianyang City and ate them. From then on, the dish "Feinu" produced. After the unification of the state of Qin, "Feinu" began to appear on the banquet.
