中国鬼食文化"Ghost food"" in Chinese food culture"

“鬼食”文化存在于中国古代。在深夜降临时，街上的行人稀少，在街道上会出现各种叫卖小吃的人。小吃种类丰富，有卤鸡翅、卤猪脚、烤制食物、面食、云吞、糕点等，他们沿街叫卖。深夜感到饥饿的人，不能入睡，听到叫卖声，就会打开屋门，购买喜欢的美食，食完才能继续入睡。我们称这种售卖美食的行为为“鬼食”文化。

The "ghost food" culture existed in ancient China. In the late night, there are few people in the street, there would be all kinds of people selling snacks. The species of snacks were rich, including marinated chicken wings, marinated pig feet, baked food, pasta, wontons, cakes, etc. They hawked in the street. Those who could not sleep because of hunger in the night, when they heard the sound of selling, would open the door, buy some favorite food, eat, and then go back to sleep. We call this way of selling food "ghost food" culture.
