Naked Oat Noodles in the Shape of Small Fish with Chinese Mongolian Flavor
More than 2,000 years ago, during the Western Han Dynasty in China, Emperor Wu of Han embarked on a western expedition to Mobei and waged war against the Xiongnu. The Han army arrived in Mongolia. To ensure the supply of military rations, Emperor Wu of Han dispatched a great general named You Si to plant a large amount of naked oats in Mongolia, and then used the naked oats to make food, which could withstand hunger, cold, and extreme heat. The Han army won a great victory because of this food. Emperor Wu of Han thus named this type of oat flour "Youmai" (naked oats) after the great general "You Si".
